Smarties has been established since 1992 providing caring, qualified staff who are fully committed to the care and development of each child. All staff and Play Leaders are NNEB or equivalent accredited and First Aid trained. We are the only Educare Link Centre in Maidstone and are also registered with Kent County Council, Social Services. The nursery aims are ·Provide a safe, happy & caring environment where children feel secure, valued & confident. ·To provide for children aged 3 months to 5 years to learn at their own pace through a wide range of stimulating activites. ·Allow children to reach their full potential, catering for all areas of development ·Enable children to become independent ·Work in partnership with parents to provide the best care for the child ·Treat parents with courtesy and respect at all times ·Keep parents informed of their Childs development These aims will be met by ·Providing a safe, caring environment ·Providing well planned activities appropriate for the Childs development and covering D.F.E.E early learning goals ·Allocating each child over 18 months old a Keyworker ·Continually assessing the child’s stage of development through observation and planning activities accordingly ·Providing discussion time with parents, formally or informally as required.
